Simple RFQs – Creating and Managing Streamlined Requests

Video to be added soon by customer success team

Overview of Simple RFQs

Simple RFQs are intended for uncomplicated sourcing requests where detailed part-by-part pricing is not required. Instead of entering multiple line items, buyers upload a pre-made part list, and suppliers submit only two key pieces of information: price and lead time.

How to Create a Simple RFQ

  1. Navigate to the Requests Tab

    • Go to Requests.

    • Click Create a Request, just as you would for a standard RFQ.

  2. Select the Simple RFQ Type

    • In the RFQ Type field, choose Simple RFQ instead of the standard version.

  3. Upload a Pre-Made Parts List

    • Instead of manually adding part details, drag and drop your existing parts list file into the interface.

  4. Configure RFQ Details

    • Select the suppliers to invite.

    • Enter the RFQ title, closing date, and adjust automated follow-ups as needed.

    • Add a description if additional context is required.

  5. Send the RFQ

  6. Once everything is configured, send the Simple RFQ to the selected suppliers.

Supplier Experience for Simple RFQs

Suppliers benefit from a simplified submission interface:

  • They do not need to enter pricing per individual part.

  • They only provide:

    • A total price for the RFQ

    • A lead time

  • They can also upload files if required.

This streamlined approach helps suppliers respond more quickly and reduces the risk of errors related to large part lists.
